Dear Friends.
I know it feels like its been long since the L.A. fires but it was only two weeks ago. I made this comic last week and thought I would share. It was crazy how fast and crazy it spread. So many wonderful families have lost their homes. It has been really heartbreaking.
It was a really heartbreaking day. Life is so fragile and so many people lost so much. The next few days me and my family went to go and help whatever little we could do. The evacuation centers were full of people, evacuees as well as people who wanted to help. It was so beautiful to see so many people and organization came out to help people that they had to turn away the supplies as well as volunteers.

If you want to volunteer or donate, Mutual Aid L.A. is a great organization that you can help. They not only helped during this crisis but also otherwise in various capacities.
Hope you all are well, staying safe and healthy.
xoxo

Great comic Sumayya! It's helpful to see the story told by someone so close rather than just what the news wants us to see. Love the comic format too!
Gosh, so scary but glad you and your family were safe! I'm so sorry about your mosque burnt down, that's heartbreaking.💔
